7011.9925 FABRIC FILTER SPECIFICATIONS.

Subpart 1.

Requirements.

Fabric filter collection devices referred to in parts 7011.9922, subparts 1 and 2, and 7011.9923, subpart 2, shall be operated at not more than four inches water gage pressure decrease as measured across the filter fabric. No bypass devices are permitted. Such collection devices shall be equipped with either of the following classes of fabrics:

A.

woven fabrics which have an air flow permeability not exceeding 30 cfm/ft2 and which, if constructed of synthetic materials, contain no fill yarn other than that which is spun; or

B.

felted fabrics which have an average density of not less than 14 oz/yd2, an average thickness of not less than 1/16 inch, and an air flow permeability of not more than 35 cfm/ft2.

Subp. 2.

Failure to meet requirements.

Fabric filter devices do not meet the requirements of this part if any of the following conditions exist: leakage of gases, containing particulate matter, from the control system prior to filtration; torn or ruptured bags; improperly positioned bags; badly worn or threadbare bags; or presence of visible emissions of particulate matter during the emptying of collection hoppers.
