4731.4426 SURVEYS OF AMBIENT RADIATION EXPOSURE RATE.

A.

In addition to the surveys required under parts 4731.2000 to 4731.2950, a licensee must survey with a radiation detection survey instrument at the end of each day of use all areas where unsealed radioactive materials requiring a written directive were prepared for use or administered.

B.

A licensee need not perform the surveys required under item A in an area where patients or human research subjects are confined when they cannot be released under part 4731.4427.

C.

A licensee must retain a record of each survey according to part 4731.4505.
