A person who seeks to qualify for certification as a responsible individual shall:
complete and submit an application for certification to the commissioner, including the name, address, telephone number, and signature of the person applying for certification; and
take and pass an examination relating to construction, location, and sealing of exploratory borings or document the fact that the person is a professional engineer licensed according to Minnesota Statutes, sections 326.02 to 326.15, or a professional geologist licensed under Minnesota Statutes, sections 326.02 to 326.15, or certified by the American Institute of Professional Geologists. A person may take the examination as many times as desired. All applicants in any one examination session shall be given the same combination of written, oral, or practical work.
