4720.5310 FIRST SCOPING MEETING PROCEDURES.

Subpart 1.

Scoping meeting; delineation and vulnerability assessments.

A public water supplier and the department shall meet to discuss the data elements specified in part 4720.5400 that the department determines must be contained in the wellhead protection plan and be used to:

A.

delineate the wellhead protection area and the drinking water supply management area; and

B.

assess the vulnerability of the well and the drinking water supply management area.

Subp. 2.

Scoping decision; notice.

No later than 30 days after the scoping meeting specified in subpart 1, the department shall notify the public water supplier in writing of the data elements specified in part 4720.5400 that must be:

A.

used to perform the delineation and vulnerability assessments;

B.

contained in the wellhead protection plan; and

C.

submitted to the department.
