UPC section 903.1 is amended to read as follows:
903.1 Applicable Standards. Vent pipes and fittings shall comply with the applicable standards referenced in Table 701.1, except that:
(1) Galvanized steel or 304 stainless steel pipe shall not be installed underground and shall be not less than 6 inches (152 mm) aboveground.
(2) ABS and PVC DWV piping installations shall be in accordance with the applicable standards referenced in Table 1401.1.
