4620.3420 EMERGENCY PROJECT NOTICE.

Subpart 1.

Emergency project begun during work hours.

For an emergency project which begins between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on the days the Minnesota Department of Health is open, the commissioner must receive from the licensed asbestos contractor:

A.

a completed notice on a form provided by the commissioner which seeks only information the commissioner considers reasonably necessary to inspect the project and issue the permit as soon as possible before the project begins; and

B.

within five calendar days after the emergency project begins, the items listed in part 4620.3410, subpart 2, items B and C.

Subp. 2.

Emergency project begun after work hours.

For an emergency project which begins at a time other than the times specified in subpart 1, the commissioner must receive from the licensed asbestos contractor:

A.

a completed notice on a form provided by the commissioner which seeks only information the commissioner considers reasonably necessary to inspect the project and issue the permit by 4:30 p.m. of the next day the department is open; and

B.

within five calendar days after the emergency project begins, the items listed in part 4620.3410, subpart 2, items B and C.

Subp. 3.

Amendments to emergency project notice.

Amendments to the emergency project notice form must be made according to part 4620.3415, items A, C, and D. An amendment to an emergency project notice must not include additional asbestos-containing material to be abated unless that material is part of the same emergency situation.
