A group residential facility must meet the requirements in items A to D.
Buildings, structures, or enclosures used by the facility, including walls, floors, ceilings, registers, fixtures, equipment, and furnishings, must be kept in good repair.
Written policies and procedures must specify the facility's fire prevention protocols, including fire drills, and practices to ensure the safety of staff, residents, and visitors. The policies must include provisions for adequate fire protection service, inspection by local or state fire officials, and placement of fire hoses or extinguishers at appropriate locations throughout the facility.
The license holder must have a written maintenance plan that includes policies and procedures for detecting, reporting, and correcting building and equipment deterioration, safety hazards, and unsanitary conditions.
