1800.1200 EXAMINATION.

Subpart 1.

Architect Registration Examination.

The Architect Registration Examination (ARE) shall be administered at least twice annually at a time and place determined by the board or examination delivery vendor to those applicants determined by the board to meet the requirements of part 1800.1000 for admission to the examination. Any person failing one or more parts of the ARE shall be allowed to retake the failed parts after waiting a period of six months.

The board, if necessary, shall forward notification of eligibility to the examination delivery vendor. Following board approval, eligible candidates shall independently contact the examination delivery vendor to schedule the time and place for the examination at an approved test site.

An applicant is required to pass all sections of the examination in order to qualify for licensure. The board or examination delivery vendor shall report to the applicant the results of each examination section. The applicant shall attain the uniform passing grade established by the board through a psychometrically acceptable standard-setting procedure.

Equipment during examinations.

For the Architect Registration Examination, applicants shall only use the equipment approved by the examination delivery vendor.
