An act relating to education; requiring a school
district to make reasonable efforts to accommodate a
pupil who wishes to be absent from school for
religious observances; proposing coding for new law in
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 120.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. [120.106] [ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL FOR RELIGIOUS
OBSERVANCE.]
Reasonable efforts must be made by a school district to
accommodate any pupil who wishes to be excused from a curricular
activity for a religious observance.
