           An act relating to state agencies; authorizing the 
          iron range resources and rehabilitation board to 
          purchase fire insurance for facilities operated by the 
          board; amending Minnesota Statutes 1986, section 
          15.38, by adding a subdivision.  
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1986, section 15.38, is 
amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
    Subd. 7.  [IRON RANGE RESOURCES AND REHABILITATION 
BOARD.] The iron range resources and rehabilitation board may 
purchase insurance it considers necessary and appropriate to 
insure facilities operated by the board.
