                        CHAPTER 457-S.F.No. 1794
           An act relating to waters; legislative approval to 
          provide water to Emerson, Manitoba by the North 
          Kittson Rural Water District. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  [PROVISION OF WATER.] 
    The commissioner of natural resources may grant approval 
and issue any permits required to authorize the North Kittson 
Rural Water District to provide water to the city of Emerson, 
Manitoba for municipal use by that city.  Legislative approval 
for this provision of water is granted as required by Minnesota 
Statutes 1983 Supplement, section 105.405, subdivision 2.  
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
