An act relating to state government; providing for
legislative expenses; amending Minnesota Statutes
1982, section 3.101; repealing Minnesota Statutes
1982, section 3.102.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 1982, section 3.101, is
amended to read:
3.101 [LIVING EXPENSES DURING SESSION.]
A member of the legislature in addition to the compensation
and mileage otherwise provided for by law shall be reimbursed
for his living and other expenses incurred in the performance of
his duties or engaging in official business during a regular
session, a special session, and when the legislature is not in
session in the manner and in such amount as may be prescribed by
the senate committee on rules and administration as to senate
members and by the house of representatives committee on rules
and legislative administration as to house members.
Sec. 2. [REPEALER.]
Minnesota Statutes 1982, section 3.102, is repealed.
Sec. 3. [EFFECTIVE DATE.]
Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following their
final enactment.
