                         CHAPTER 83--S.F.No. 530
           An act relating to the city of Roseville; providing an 
          exception from the Roseville police civil service 
          system for the chief and deputy chief of police. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  [ROSEVILLE POLICE.] 
    Notwithstanding any other law, the chief of police and 
deputy chief of police of the city of Roseville are not subject 
to the jurisdiction of the Roseville police civil service 
commission and are exempt from the police civil service system 
adopted by the city of Roseville pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, 
chapter 419.  
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    Section 1 is effective the day after compliance with 
Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3, by the 
governing body of the city of Roseville.
