A bill for an act
relating to labor; requiring overtime pay on holidays; amending Minnesota Statutes
2024, section 177.25, by adding a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 177.25, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

Work performed by an employee on a holiday as defined in section
645.44, subdivision 5, must be compensated by the employer at a rate of at least 1-1/2 times
the regular rate of pay at which the employee is employed.
