Under Minnesota Statutes, section 326A.04, subdivision 3, paragraph (b), an individual rendering professional services in this state whose principal place of business will be in this state is required to have a certificate issued under Minnesota Statutes, section 326A.04.
Upon meeting the qualifications in Minnesota Statutes, section 326A.14, subdivision 1, paragraph (a) or (b), an individual rendering professional services in this state whose principal place of business is not in this state is granted practice privileges equivalent to the licensees of this state without the need to obtain a license.
For purposes of the act and this chapter, an individual shall, at any time, only designate a single state as the individual's principal place of business. Residents of this state who provide professional services in this state at an office location in this state shall be considered to have their principal place of business in this state.
Individuals required by Minnesota Statutes, section 326A.14, subdivision 1, paragraph (b), to obtain a verification that their individual qualifications are substantially equivalent to the licensure requirements of Minnesota Statutes, section 326A.03, subdivisions 3, 4, and 6, shall obtain the verification from the NASBA National Qualification Appraisal Service prior to rendering professional services in this state. Documentation supporting this verification must be maintained by the individual for a minimum period of six years and must be submitted to the board upon request.
