Dual Notice

An agency may publish its notice of intent to adopt a rule without a public hearing and its notice of hearing together as one notice to save time in case a public hearing is requested. If the agency receives fewer than 25 requests to hold a public hearing, the hearing will be cancelled and the agency will continue to adopt the rule without a public hearing. This notice saves the agency some time in adopting the rules.
