A bill for an act
 relating to telecommunications; education; appropriating money for
telecommunications aid to libraries and schools.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin TELECOMMUNICATIONS AID FOR LIBRARIES AND SCHOOLS;
APPROPRIATIONS.

new text begin (a) $6,600,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2016 from the general fund to the
commissioner of education for library telecommunications aid under Minnesota Statutes,
section 134.355. This is a onetime appropriation and is available until expended.

new text begin (b) $9,750,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2016 from the general fund to the
commissioner of education for telecommunications/Internet access equity aid under
Minnesota Statutes, section 125B.26. This is a onetime appropriation and is available
until expended.
