An act
relating to health; requiring stroke transport protocols;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 144E.16, by adding a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2014, section 144E.16, is amended by adding a subdivision to read:

new text begin Regional emergency medical services programs and any ambulance service licensed under this chapter must develop stroke transport protocols. The protocols must include standards of care for triage and transport of acute stroke patients within a specific time frame from symptom onset until transport to the most appropriate designated acute stroke ready hospital, primary stroke center, or comprehensive stroke center. new text end
