An act

relating to state government; reestablishing the Health Care Peer Review Committee relating to quality of care and treatment of offenders; reestablishing advisory committees for the Minnesota Breeders fund;

amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 241.021, by adding a subdivision; Minnesota Statutes 2007 Supplement, section 240.18, subdivision 4; Laws 2007, chapter 133, article 2, section 13.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2007 Supplement, section 240.18, subdivision 4, is amended to read:

Subd. 4.

Rules; advisory committees.

The commission shall adopt rules governing the distribution of the fund. new text begin The commission may establish advisory committees to advise it on the distribution of money under this section, provided that the members of an advisory committee shall serve without compensation. The expiration date provided in section 15.059, subdivision 5, does not apply to this subdivision.new text end

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 241.021, is amended by adding a subdivision to read:

new text begin The peer review committee under subdivision 4b does not expire and the expiration date provided in section 15.059, subdivision 5, does not apply to this section. new text end

Sec. 3.

Laws 2007, chapter 133, article 2, section 13, is amended to read:
