                             CHAPTER 19-H.F.No. 51 
                  An act relating to insurance; clarifying that a 
                  certain law includes long-term care insurance; 
                  amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 61B.20, 
                  subdivision 10.  
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 61B.20, 
        subdivision 10, is amended to read: 
           Subd. 10.  [HEALTH INSURANCE.] "Health insurance" means 
        accident and health insurance as described in section 60A.06, 
        subdivision 1, clause (5)(a), long-term care insurance, credit 
        accident and health insurance regulated under chapter 62B, and 
        subscriber contracts issued by a nonprofit health service plan 
        corporation operating under chapter 62C. 
           Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
           Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
