                            CHAPTER 288-H.F.No. 3142 
                  An act relating to highways; designating the Richard J.
                  Mathiowetz Memorial Highway; amending Minnesota 
                  Statutes 1998, section 161.14, by adding a subdivision.
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 161.14, is 
        amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
           Subd. 47.  [RICHARD J. MATHIOWETZ MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.] Marked 
        trunk highway No. 4, from the north city limits of Sleepy Eye to 
        its intersection with marked trunk highway No. 60 in St. James, 
        is designated the "Richard J. Mathiowetz Memorial Highway."  The 
        commissioner shall adopt a suitable marking design to mark this 
        highway and erect appropriate signs, subject to section 161.139.
