Minnesota Session Laws - 1997, Regular Session

                            CHAPTER 75-S.F.No. 1928 
                  An act relating to local government; allowing cities 
                  and counties to provide assistance to other Minnesota 
                  cities and counties for 1997 flood relief.  
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  [FLOOD RELIEF.] 
           The governing body of a county or home rule charter or 
        statutory city may provide assistance to another Minnesota city 
        or county located within a disaster area so designated by 
        federal authority due to the 1997 spring floods.  The assistance 
        must be used by the receiving city or county in aiding in relief 
        efforts associated with those floods. 
           Sec. 2.  [EXPIRATION.] 
           Section 1 expires January 1, 1998.
