                             CHAPTER 5-H.F.No. 631 
                  An act relating to public administration; clarifying 
                  the terms and conditions of a state appropriation; 
                  amending Laws 1994, chapter 643, section 2, 
                  subdivision 12. 
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  Laws 1994, chapter 643, section 2, subdivision 
        12, is amended to read: 
        Subd. 12.  Hopkins Performing
        Arts Center                                             500,000
        This appropriation is for a grant to 
        the city of Hopkins to acquire and 
        better a performing arts center, 
        subject to new Minnesota Statutes, 
        section 16A.695. 
        This appropriation is not available 
        until the commissioner has determined 
        that the necessary additional financing 
        to complete a $3,100,000 at least a 
        $3,900,000 project has been committed 
        by nonstate sources. 
           Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
           Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
