                  An act relating to parks and recreation; adding to and 
                  deleting from state parks. 
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  [ADDITIONS TO AND DELETIONS FROM STATE PARKS.] 
           Subdivision 1.  [85.012] [Subd. 13] [CHARLES A. LINDBERGH 
        STATE PARK, MORRISON COUNTY.] The following area is added to 
        Charles A. Lindbergh state park:  All that part of Government 
        Lot Five (5) lying Westerly of the West right-of-way line of 
        Eleventh Street Southwest in the city of Little Falls and 
        Northerly of the following described line:  Beginning at a point 
        on the West line of said Lot 5 which is 150 feet North 4 degrees 
        55 minutes East of the Northwest corner of Lot Eight (8) of 
        Searle' City Acres Lots; thence North 89 degrees 32 minutes East 
        983.35 feet to the West line of said Eleventh Street Southwest 
        in the city of Little Falls, and there terminating, less the 
        East 200 feet as measured at a right angle from said West 
        right-of-way line of Eleventh Street Southwest; all in Section 
        Nineteen (19) Township 129 North, Range 29 West, Morrison 
        County, Minnesota. 
           Subd. 2.  [85.012] [Subd. 32a] [LAC QUI PARLE STATE PARK, 
        LAC QUI PARLE COUNTY.] The following areas are added to Lac qui 
        Parle state park: 
           (1) The Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of 
        Section 12, Township 118 North, Range 42 West. 
           (2) The North One Half of the Southeast Quarter, the 
        Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, and the Southeast 
        Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 11, in Township 118 
        North, Range 42 West, except the following parts taken by the 
        state of Minnesota as part of the Lac qui Parle project:  
           (i) a tract of land described as follows:  Beginning at the 
        Northeast Corner of Section 14, in Township 118 North, Range 42 
        West, thence South 1283 feet measured along the East line of 
        said Section 14, thence in a Northwesterly direction along the 
        945 contour line of the Lac qui Parle project as now surveyed 
        across the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, of said 
        Section 14, a distance of 1385 feet to the place where said 
        contour line intersects the North line of said Section 14 thence 
        East along the North line of said Section, 507.2 feet to the 
        point of beginning; and 
           (ii) a tract of land described as follows:  Beginning at a 
        point on the West line of Section 13, in Township 118 North, 
        Range 42 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, 560 feet South of 
        the Northwest Corner of said Section where the Westerly 
        right-of-way line of the highway as now located across said 
        Section intersects the West line of said Section, thence 
        Southerly along the Westerly right-of-way line of highway 1255 
        feet to the point where the 945 contour line of the Lac qui 
        Parle project intersects the Westerly line of the highway, 
        thence Northwesterly on a line which bears North 73 Degrees 55 
        Minutes West a distance of 75 feet; thence along a line which 
        bears North 44 Degrees 44 Minutes West a distance of 578.2 feet 
        to the West line of said Section 13, thence North along the West 
        line of said Section 723 feet to the point of beginning. 
           Subd. 3.  [85.012] [Subd. 35] [LAKE CARLOS STATE PARK, 
        DOUGLAS COUNTY.] The following area is deleted from Lake Carlos 
        state park:  The South half of the Southeast Quarter; all in 
        Section Eight (8) Township 129 North, Range 37 West, Douglas 
        County, Minnesota. 
           Subd. 4.  [85.012] [Subd. 51] [SAVANNA PORTAGE STATE PARK, 
        AITKIN AND ST. LOUIS COUNTIES.] The following area is added to 
        Savanna Portage state park:  Government Lot 6 of Section 4; all 
        in Township 49 North, Range 23 West, Aitkin County, Minnesota.  
           Subd. 5.  [85.012] [Subd. 53b] [SPLIT ROCK CREEK STATE 
        PARK, PIPESTONE COUNTY.] The following area is added to Split 
        Rock Creek state park:  That part of Section 16 lying 
        Southeasterly of Minnesota Trunk Highway No. 23, excepting those 
        parts platted as Sabies Addition and Second Sabies Addition, and 
        that part of Section 21 lying Southeasterly of Minnesota Trunk 
        Highway No. 23; all in Township 105 North, Range 46 West, 
        Pipestone County, Minnesota. 
           Subd. 6.  [85.012] [Subd. 60] [WILLIAM O'BRIEN STATE PARK, 
        WASHINGTON COUNTY.] (a) The following areas are added to William 
        O'Brien state park, all in Section 1, Township 31 North, Range 
        20 West, Washington County, Minnesota:  
           (1) Lots Thirteen through Twenty (13-20) inclusive, in 
        Block Thirteen (13); 
           (2) Lots Six (6), Seven (7), Eight (8), Nine (9), Eleven 
        (11), Twelve (12), and Thirteen (13) in Block Fourteen (14); 
           (3) Lot Five (5) in said Block Fourteen (14), except the 
        parts thereof described as follows:  Beginning at the Southwest 
        corner of Lot Three (3), in said Block Fourteen (14), running 
        thence along the North 177.1 feet, thence East 57 feet to the 
        Northwest corner of said Lot Three (3), thence South along the 
        Westerly line of said Lot Three (3), a distance of 139 feet to 
        the place of beginning; and also except the part described as 
        follows:  Beginning at a point on the North line of Broadway 
        60.5 feet Westerly from the Southwest corner of Lot Three (3) in 
        said Block Fourteen (14), thence North parallel with the East 
        line of said Lot Five (5) 177.1 feet, thence West and parallel 
        with the North line of said Lot Five (5) 25 feet, thence South 
        and parallel with the East line of said Lot Five (5) to the 
        North line of Broadway, thence Northeasterly along the North 
        line of Broadway to the point of beginning; 
           (4) Lot Ten (10) in said Block Fourteen (14), except the 
        part thereof described as follows:  Beginning at the Southeast 
        corner thereof, thence West along the South line thereof 150 
        feet, thence Northwesterly and parallel with the East line 
        thereof 150 feet, thence East and parallel with the South line 
        thereof 150 feet to the Easterly line, thence Southeasterly on 
        said Easterly line 150 feet to the point of beginning; and 
           (5) All that part of the unplatted portion of Rose's 
        Addition to the Village of Marine, otherwise known as Gaskill's 
        Reservation, lying West of a line running from the Northeast 
        corner of Lot Twenty (20) in Block Thirteen (13) to the 
        Southeast corner of Block Twelve (12) and West of Bradley 
        Street; and also that part of the unplatted portion of said 
        Rose's Addition, otherwise known as Gaskill's Reservation, 
        described as follows:  Beginning at the Southeast corner of said 
        Block Twelve (12), thence South along Robert Street to the North 
        line of Pine Street, thence Westerly at right angles to the 
        intersection with a line drawn from the Northeast corner of said 
        Lot Twenty (20) in Block Thirteen (13) to the Southeast corner 
        of said Block Twelve (12), thence Northeasterly on the extension 
        of the last described line to the point of beginning; all of the 
        said described real estate being in Rose's Addition to the 
        Village of Marine, according to the survey and plat thereof on 
        file and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds of 
        Washington County, Minnesota; together with an easement for 
        ingress and egress to the above described property over the 
        Easterly Twenty (20) feet of Lot Four (4), and the Easterly 
        Twenty (20) feet of the Southerly One Hundred Fifty (150) feet 
        of Lot Ten (10) in said Block Fourteen (14) of Rose's Addition 
        to the Village of Marine, the said easement to be perpetual and 
        run with the land for so long a time as Franklin Street abutting 
        this easement property remains unopened and unimproved; EXCEPT:  
        That part of Lot 5, Block 14 of Rose's Addition to the Village 
        of Marine, according to the survey and plat thereof on file and 
        of record in the office of the Recorder, Washington County, 
        Minnesota, described as follows:  Commencing at a point on the 
        Northerly line of Broadway 60.5 feet Southwesterly from the 
        Southwest corner of Lot 3 in said Block 14, thence North 177.1 
        feet on a line parallel with the East line of said Lot 5, thence 
        West and parallel with the North line of said Lot 5 a distance 
        of 25 feet to a point hereinafter referred to as "Point A"; 
        thence South and parallel with the East line of said Lot 5 to 
        the Northerly line of Broadway for the point of beginning of 
        this description, thence North on the last described line to 
        said "Point A," thence West and parallel with the North line of 
        said Lot 5 a distance of 10 feet, thence South and parallel with 
        the East line of said Lot 5 to said Northerly line of Broadway, 
        thence Northeasterly along said North line of Broadway to the 
        point of beginning; subject to Broadway along the Southerly line.
           (b) The following area is added to William O'Brien state 
        park, all in Section 36, Township 32 North, Range 20 West, 
        Washington County, Minnesota:  The Southwest Quarter of the 
        Northwest Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest 
        Quarter.
