                            CHAPTER 423-H.F.No. 1890 
                  An act relating to Lake of the Woods county; allowing 
                  the county to forgive the amount owing on a contract 
                  for deed. 
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  [NURSING HOME CONTRACT FOR DEED.] 
           Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 373.01, Lake of 
        the Woods county may cancel and forgive any amount up to the 
        total amount remaining owing including all accrued interest on 
        the contract for deed between the county as seller and Lakewood 
        Health Center, formerly Trinity Hospital of Baudette, Minnesota, 
        a Minnesota nonprofit corporation, dated October 19, 1990, and 
        filed for record in the office of county recorder as document 
        number 56545 on January 30, 1991, at Book 59 of Deeds, page 
        778.  The property conveyed is legally described as: 
           All of Block Seventeen (17), East Beaudette, according to 
           the recorded plat thereof. 
        The property is the location of the Lakewood Care Center.
