                  An act relating to highways; changing highway 
                  description; amending Minnesota Statutes 1992, section 
                  161.115, subdivision 224. 
        BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
           Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1992, section 161.115, 
        subdivision 224, is amended to read: 
           Subd. 224.  [ROUTE NO. 293.] Beginning at a point on Route 
        No. 132 in Cambridge; thence extending in a general southerly 
        direction through the grounds of the Cambridge State School and 
        Hospital to a point on old Route No. 5. 
           Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
           Section 1 is effective when an agreement to transfer 
        jurisdiction of a portion of old Legislative Route No. 5 in the 
        city of Cambridge (pending completion of new Route No. 5 around 
        the city) has been agreed to and signed by the commissioner of 
        transportation, the governing body of the city of Cambridge, and 
        the Isanti county board, and filed in the office of the 
        commissioner.
