           An act relating to the St. Anthony Falls heritage 
          board; providing for the composition of the board; 
          amending Minnesota Statutes 1992, section 138.763, 
          subdivision 1. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1992, section 138.763, 
subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
    Subdivision 1.  [MEMBERSHIP.] There is a St. Anthony Falls 
heritage board consisting of 13 17 members with the director of 
the Minnesota historical society as chair.  The members include 
the mayor, the chair of the Hennepin county board of 
commissioners or the chair's designee, two members each from the 
house of representatives appointed by the speaker, the senate 
appointed by the rules committee, the city council, the Hennepin 
county board, and the park board, and one each from the 
preservation commission, the preservation office, Hennepin 
county historical society, and the society. 
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    Section 1 is effective the day after final enactment.
