                        CHAPTER 448-H.F.No. 2135 
           An act relating to Anoka county; authorizing the sale 
          or exchange of certain land. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  [ANOKA COUNTY PRIVATE LAND SALE OR EXCHANGE.] 
    Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 373.01, Anoka 
county may sell or exchange without advertising for bids the 
land described in this section, or any part of the described 
land, by private, negotiated sale or exchange for a price not 
less than its appraised value in the event of sale or for real 
property of substantially equal value in the event of exchange. 
    The land that may be sold or exchanged is described as: 
    That part of Lots 5 and 6, Auditor's Subdivision No. 34, 
and of Lot 7, Auditor's Subdivision No. 31, and of Government 
Lot 3, Section 33, Township 32, Range 25, all in Anoka County, 
Minnesota, described as follows: 
    Beginning at the point of intersection of the southwesterly 
right-of-way line of United States Trunk Highway No. 10 and a 
line drawn parallel with and 615.00 feet westerly as measured at 
right angles to the east line of the Southwest Quarter of the 
Southeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 32, Range 25; thence 
southeasterly along said southwesterly right-of-way line to the 
northeast corner of said Lot 7, Auditor's Subdivision No. 31, 
said point being 511.50 feet easterly of the west line of 
Section 34, Township 32, Range 25 as measured on a line drawn at 
right angles to said west line; thence southerly along the east 
line of said Lot 7 and parallel with said west line of Section 
34 to a point on a line parallel with and 330.00 feet 
southwesterly of said southwesterly right-of-way line as 
measured at right angles to said southwesterly right-of-way 
line; thence northwesterly along said parallel line to a point 
on a line drawn southerly and parallel with said east line of 
the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 28 
from the point of beginning; thence northerly along said 
parallel line to the point of beginning. 
    That part of Lot 7, Auditor's Subdivision No. 31, and of 
Government Lot 3, Section 33, Township 32, Range 25, all in 
Anoka County, Minnesota described as follows: 
    Commencing at the northwest corner of Section 34, Township 
32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota; thence southerly along 
the west line of said Section 34 a distance of 82.97 feet to its 
intersection with the southwesterly right-of-way of United 
States Trunk Highway No. 10; thence southeasterly along said 
southwesterly right-of-way line and along the northeasterly line 
of said Lot 7 a distance of 562.51 feet to the northeast corner 
of said Lot 7, said point being 511.50 feet easterly of the west 
line of said Section 34 as measured on a line drawn at right 
angles to said west line, said point also being the point of 
beginning of the tract of land to be hereby described; thence 
southerly parallel with said west line of Section 34 a distance 
of 650.00 feet; thence northwesterly parallel with said 
southwesterly right-of-way line 625.00 feet; thence northerly 
parallel with said west line of Section 34 a distance of 650.00 
feet to said southwesterly right-of-way line; thence 
southeasterly along said southwesterly right-of-way line 625.00 
feet to the point of beginning. 
    The land to be sold or exchanged is appropriate for 
development and is in excess of that needed by Anoka county for 
other purposes. 
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
