                        CHAPTER 227-S.F.No. 1011 
           An act relating to highways; redesignating the AMVETS 
          memorial highway as the American Veterans Memorial 
          Highway; amending Minnesota Statutes 1988, section 
          161.14, subdivision 23. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1988, section 161.14, 
subdivision 23, is amended to read: 
    Subd. 23.  [AMVETS AMERICAN VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.] 
Trunk highway No. 391, described in section 161.12 and marked as 
interstate highway I-90, is named and designated as the "AMVETS 
American Veterans Memorial Highway."  The commissioner of 
transportation shall adopt a suitable marking design to mark 
this highway and shall erect appropriate signs.
