CHAPTER 79-H.F.No. 1351
An act relating to local government; permitting the
Dakota and Washington county housing and redevelopment
authorities to waive performance bonds for single
family housing construction; amending Laws 1971,
chapter 333; and Laws 1974, chapter 475.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. Laws 1971, chapter 333, is amended by adding a
section to read:
Sec. 3a. [PERFORMANCE BONDS; DAKOTA COUNTY HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.]
Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 469.015,
subdivision 3, a performance bond is not required for any works
of single family housing construction undertaken by the
authority if the authority determines that the cost of a
performance bond is greater than the benefit of the bond.
Sec. 2. Laws 1974, chapter 475, is amended by adding a
section to read:
Sec. 2a. [PERFORMANCE BONDS; WASHINGTON COUNTY HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.]
Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 469.015,
subdivision 3, a performance bond is not required for any works
of single family housing construction undertaken by the
authority if the authority determines that the cost of a
performance bond is greater than the benefit of the bond.
Sec. 3. [EFFECTIVE DATE.]
Section 1 is effective the day after compliance with
Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3, by the
governing body of the Dakota county housing and redevelopment
authority.
Section 2 is effective the day after compliance with
Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3, by the
governing body of the Washington county housing and
redevelopment authority.
