An act relating to commerce; unclaimed property;
providing for the ownership of metal dies and molds;
amending Minnesota Statutes 1988, section 345.20,
subdivision 1.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 1988, section 345.20,
subdivision 1, is amended to read:
Subdivision 1. For purposes of this section:
(a) "Customer" means any individual or entity who causes or
caused a molder to fabricate, cast, or otherwise make a die,
mold, or form to be used for the manufacture of metal or plastic
products.
(b) "Molder" means any individual or entity, including, but
not limited to, a tool or die maker, who fabricates, casts, or
otherwise makes a die, mold, or form to be used for the
manufacture of metal or plastic products.
Sec. 2. [EFFECTIVE DATE.]
Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
