                        CHAPTER 458-H.F.No. 2025 
           An act relating to state lands; authorizing private 
          sale of tax-forfeited land in St. Louis county.  
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  [TAX-FORFEITED LAND SALE; ST. LOUIS COUNTY.] 
    Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 282.018, and 
the public sale requirements of Minnesota Statutes, section 
282.01, St. Louis county may sell and convey the tax-forfeited 
land described in this section to Louie Kolar by private sale 
for consideration of the amount of unpaid property taxes, 
assessments, and penalties as certified by the St. Louis county 
auditor, but otherwise in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, 
chapter 282. 
    The land that may be sold is tax-forfeited land that 
borders public water in St. Louis county in the Southwest 
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 7, Township 54 
North, Range 15 West and described as:  Lots 7 and 8 of 
Vildskogen Beach.  
    Mr. Kolar is the former owner of the land.  While he was 
temporarily out of the state, Mr. Kolar entrusted the property 
to a person who did not pay the taxes and did not inform Mr. 
Kolar of the failure to pay the taxes. 
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
