Laws of Minnesota 1987 CHAPTER 82-S.F.No. 345 An act relating to environment; prohibiting the use of certain pesticides; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 18A. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. [18A.49] [USE OF CHLORDANE PROHIBITED.] Subdivision 1. [PROHIBITION.] The state, a state agency, a political subdivision of the state, a person, or other legal entity may not sell, use, or apply the pesticide chlordane or its derivative heptachlor within the state. Subd. 2. [PENALTY.] A person who violates subdivision 1 is guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day of violation is a separate offense. Approved May 11, 1987
