                         CHAPTER 12-H.F.No. 27 
           An act relating to corporations; regulating control 
          share acquisitions; delaying the effective date of 
          certain amendments; amending Laws 1985, First Special 
          Session chapter 5, section 21, as amended.  
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  Laws 1985, First Special Session chapter 5, 
section 21, as amended by Laws 1986, chapter 431, section 4, is 
amended to read:  
    Sec. 21.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    The amendments to Minnesota Statutes, section 302A.671, 
subdivision 1, paragraph (a), made by this act are effective 
August 1, 1987 1988. 
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
