Laws of Minnesota 1985 CHAPTER 42-H.F.No. 485 An act relating to the city of Lismore; authorizing it to issue bonds for municipal facilities. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: Section 1. [LISMORE; BOND ISSUE.] Notwithstanding the limitation of Minnesota Statutes, section 475.53, the city of Lismore may issue general obligation bonds of the city in the amount of $60,000 for the purpose of municipal fire, meeting, and related facilities. The bonds may be authorized before or after this act becomes effective by vote of the people, and shall be sold and issued at the time or times determined by the city council in the manner prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, chapter 475. Sec. 2. [TAX LEVY.] The city may levy the taxes required by law for the payment of the bonds and interest on them without limitation as to rate or amount, and the levy of the taxes shall not cause the amount of other taxes, levied or to be levied by the city, which are subject to any limitation, to be reduced in any amount. Sec. 3. [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This act is effective the day after compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3, by the governing body of the city of Lismore. Approved April 29, 1985
