                        CHAPTER 124-H.F.No. 1152 
           An act relating to Winona county; authorizing the sale 
          of certain property. 
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  [WINONA COUNTY; SALE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY.] 
    Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 161.44, 
subdivision 1, and 373.01, subdivision 1, or any other law to 
the contrary, the county board of Winona county may convey, for 
the appraised value, to a private person by private sale free of 
any public purposes requirement or limitation the building known 
as the Winona County Humane Society Shelter and the land on 
which it is located containing 1.18 acres, more or less, 
described as:  All that part of Government Lots 4 and 5 of 
Section 18, Township 107 North, Range 7 West, as located by:  
Commencing at the Northeast Corner of Section 19, Township 107 
North, Range 7 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian; thence 
proceeding South along the East line of Section 19 for 1595.20 
feet to the centerline of Trunk Highway #61; thence deflect to 
the right 120 degrees 33 minutes 46 seconds along the centerline 
of Trunk Highway #61 for 4293.60 feet; thence deflect to the 
left on a 00 degree 30 minutes 00 seconds circular curve (delta 
angle 6 degrees 11 minutes 00 seconds) radius 11459.16 feet for 
289.70 feet; thence deflect left at right angles to the tangent 
of said 00 degree 30 minutes 00 seconds curve at said point for 
75.00 feet to the southerly right of way line of Trunk Highway 
#61, and the point of beginning; thence proceeding on the last 
described course for 117.00 feet to the Gilmore Valley Flowage 
right of way; thence deflect right 94 degrees 04 minutes 30 
seconds along the Gilmore Valley Flowage right of way for 600.00 
feet; thence deflect right 89 degrees 31 minutes 00 seconds for 
55.00 feet along the Gilmore Valley Flowage right of way to a 
point on the Southerly right of way line of Trunk Highway #61; 
thence deflecting right along the Southerly right of way line of 
Trunk Highway #61 on a portion of a nontangential 00 degree 30 
minutes 12 seconds circular curve, delta angle 6 degrees 11 
minutes 00 seconds, radius 11384.16 feet, the chord of said 
portion deflects right 84 degrees 31 minutes 58 seconds from the 
last described course, for 595.08 feet to the point of beginning.
    Sec. 2.  [LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
     This act is effective the day after compliance with 
Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivision 3, by the 
county board of Winona county.
