           An act relating to housing; raising the limit on the 
          total amount of Minnesota housing finance agency bonds 
          and notes outstanding; amending Minnesota Statutes 
          1984, section 462A.22, subdivision 1.  
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
    Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1984, section 462A.22, 
subdivision 1, is amended to read:  
    Subdivision 1.  The aggregate principal amount of bonds and 
notes which are outstanding at any time, excluding the principal 
amount of any bonds and notes refunded by the issuance of new 
bonds or notes, shall not exceed the sum of 
$1,550,000,000 $1,620,000,000. 
    Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
    Section 1 is effective the day following its final 
enactment.
