relating to state government; discouraging use of bottled water in state offices;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 16B.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin To the extent practical, offices in all branches of state government that provide
drinking water to employees or visitors must avoid using bottled water, and must instead
use drinking fountains or filtered or unfiltered tap water. This section does not apply to a
location if the tap water for that location contains chemicals in an amount that exceeds
health risk limits, as determined by the commissioner of health.
