A bill for an act
relating to transportation; appropriating money for improvements and reconstruction
of 10th Street, 9th Street, 2nd Avenue, and 3rd Avenue in the city of Newport.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $1,853,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of transportation for one or more grants to the city of Newport for improvements and
reconstruction of 9th and 10th Streets west of 4th Avenue, and 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue
between 9th Street and 10th Street in the city of Newport. This project includes replacement
of hydrants, replacement of the existing water main, installation of new water main and
sanitary sewer collection systems, and construction of stormwater collection and treatment
systems. This is a onetime appropriation.
