  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; increasing a facility's 
  1.3             property-related payment rate to reflect bed 
  1.4             decertification; amending Minnesota Statutes 1998, 
  1.5             section 256B.434, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 256B.434, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4b.  [PROPERTY RATE ADJUSTMENT.] A nursing facility 
  1.10  in Pine City that decertified 22 beds in calendar year 1999 
  1.11  shall have its property-related per diem payment rate increased 
  1.12  by $2.06 effective for the rate year beginning July 1, 1999.  
  1.13  The commissioner shall recognize this increase in the facility's 
  1.14  payment rate as of July 1, 1999, under this section and shall 
  1.15  recalculate the inflation adjustment provided in subdivision 4, 
  1.16  paragraph (c), to reflect this increase.  The increase provided 
  1.17  under this subdivision shall be included in the facility's total 
  1.18  payment rate for the purpose of determining subsequent and 
  1.19  future rates under this section or any other section.
