A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; increasing appropriations for enforcement, water
access, and grants-in-aid trail programs; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATIONS; DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES.

new text begin (a) $435,000 in fiscal year 2009 is appropriated from the natural resources fund for
enforcement. Of this amount, $250,000 is from the water recreation account and $185,000
is from the all-terrain vehicle account.

new text begin (b) $935,000 in fiscal year 2009 is appropriated from the natural resources fund for
trails and waterways management. Of this amount, $750,000 is from the water recreation
account for water access projects and $185,000 is from the all-terrain vehicle account
for grants-in-aid trail programs.

new text begin (c) The amounts in paragraphs (a) and (b) are added to the appropriations in Laws
2007, chapter 57, article 1, section 4, subdivisions 6 and 9, for similar purposes.
