A bill for an act
 relating to commerce; regulating new motor vehicles and engines; requiring the
sale and registration of vehicles and engines capable of operating on E85 or
biodiesel fuel; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 325F.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [325F.661] NEW MOTOR VEHICLES AND ENGINES CAPABLE OF
OPERATING ON E85 OR BIODIESEL FUEL; REQUIREMENT.

new text begin After December 31, 2009, every new motor vehicle, new motor vehicle engine, or
motor vehicle with a new motor vehicle engine sold to the ultimate purchaser in this state,
offered or delivered for sale to the ultimate purchaser in this state, or registered in this
state must be capable of operating on E85 or biodiesel fuel.

subdivision 19; and "biodiesel fuel" has the meaning given in section 239.77, subdivision
1.
