  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to insurance; township mutual companies; 
  1.3             regulating farm risks; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1996, section 67A.191, subdivision 1. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 67A.191, 
  1.7   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [FARM RISKS.] A township mutual fire 
  1.9   insurance company may issue an insurance policy for qualified 
  1.10  and secondary property as defined in section 67A.14, subdivision 
  1.11  1, in combination with a policy issued by an insurer authorized 
  1.12  to sell property and casualty insurance in this state.  Except 
  1.13  as provided in subdivision 2, The portions of the combination 
  1.14  policy issued by a township mutual insurance company are 
  1.15  excluded from all provisions of the insurance laws of this state 
  1.16  as provided in section 67A.25, subdivision 2.
