A bill for an act
relating to the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board; appropriating
money to relocate a portion of St. Louis County Road 715.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $1,000,000 is appropriated from the taconite environmental protection fund under
Minnesota Statutes, section 298.223, as a grant to St. Louis County for relocation of the
portion of St. Louis County Road 715, commonly referred to as Pike River Road or
Whiskey Road. The county is required to match this grant with the first $1,000,000 of
taconite tax proceeds deposited in the county road and bridge fund. Payment of the grant
must be made to the county by September 1, 2006, and is not subject to the requirements
under Minnesota Statutes, section 298.223.
