  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; requiring identical 
  1.3             smallmouth bass regulations in all regions of the 
  1.4             state. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SMALLMOUTH BASS REGULATIONS; RULES.] 
  1.7      Any restrictions relating to the open season or possession 
  1.8   limits for smallmouth bass, or any catch and release 
  1.9   requirements for smallmouth bass, shall be identical in all 
  1.10  regions of the state.  The commissioner of natural resources 
  1.11  shall amend Minnesota Rules, chapter 6262, to comply with this 
  1.12  section.  The commissioner may use the procedures provided under 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, section 14.388. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
