  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxation; providing that sales of 
  1.3             materials used in the construction of the Children's 
  1.4             Theatre are exempt from taxation; amending Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes 2002, section 297A.71, by adding a 
  1.6             subdivision. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 297A.71, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 32.  [CHILDREN'S THEATRE.] Materials, equipment, and 
  1.11  supplies used or consumed in construction of the Children's 
  1.12  Theatre in the city of Minneapolis are exempt. 
  1.13     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective for sales and 
  1.14  purchases made on or after July 1, 2003.
