  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing private sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders wetland in 
  1.4             Washington county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   WETLAND; WASHINGTON COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 103F.535; 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 2; and 282.241, the public sale provisions 
  1.10  of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, or other law to the 
  1.11  contrary, Washington county may sell by private sale to the 
  1.12  owner at the time of forfeiture the tax-forfeited land bordering 
  1.13  wetland that is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining 
  1.14  provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.  
  1.15     (b) The sale must be in a form approved by the attorney 
  1.16  general for a consideration of taxes due on the property and any 
  1.17  penalties, interest, and costs. 
  1.18     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Washington county 
  1.19  and is described as: 
  1.20     Lot 12, Block 1, Brandon Acres, city of Hugo, identified as 
  1.21  PID number 28-031-21-33-0012.  
  1.22     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.23  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  1.24  returned to private ownership.
