  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to licensing; electricians; eligibility 
  1.3             requirement for applicant for master electrician 
  1.4             licensure. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CLASS A MASTER ELECTRICIAN'S LICENSE; 
  1.7   APPLICATION.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 326.242, or 
  1.9   other law, the board of electricity shall consider an applicant 
  1.10  for a class A master electrician's license eligible for the 
  1.11  class A license exam if the applicant has had at least ten years 
  1.12  of supervised or unsupervised experience in planning for, laying 
  1.13  out, supervising, and installing wiring, apparatus, or equipment 
  1.14  for electrical light, heat, and power, holds an adult vocational 
  1.15  education license issued by the state board of technical 
  1.16  colleges, and has had at least ten years experience as an 
  1.17  instructor of a maintenance electrician course. 
  1.18     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.19     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
