  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; requiring that highway 62 be 
  1.3             treated as interstate system highway for purposes of 
  1.4             municipal approval. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [MUNICIPAL CONSENT LAW AND CROSSTOWN HIGHWAY 
  1.7   PROJECT.] 
  1.8      For purposes of obtaining municipal approval under 
  1.9   Minnesota Statutes, sections 161.162 to 161.167, the entire 
  1.10  marked interstate highway 35W/marked trunk highway 62 
  1.11  interchange improvement project is deemed to be entirely within 
  1.12  the interstate highway system.  On marked interstate highway 
  1.13  35W, the project limits are from 66th Street in the city of 
  1.14  Richfield to 42nd Street in the city of Minneapolis.  On marked 
  1.15  trunk highway 62, the project limits are from the first 
  1.16  interchange west of the commons area at Penn Avenue to the first 
  1.17  interchange east of the commons section at Portland Avenue. 
  1.18     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.19  following final enactment.
