  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health insurance; clarifying the coverage 
  1.3             for Lyme disease; amending Minnesota Statutes 1996, 
  1.4             section 62A.265, subdivision 1. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 62A.265, 
  1.7   subdivision 1, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [REQUIRED COVERAGE.] Every health plan, 
  1.9   including a plan providing the coverage specified in section 
  1.10  62A.011, subdivision 3, clause (10), must cover the treatment 
  1.11  for diagnosed Lyme disease as diagnosed and prescribed by the 
  1.12  treating physician.
